ZDO light - Another test experiment


The pictures above shows the testsetup of the ZDO light experiment in Cave B. In the foreground (left side) of the left (right) picture one can see the box in which the Start detector was located. The target was glued on the backside of the box. Behind the box one can see the ZDO detector. On one side one silicon strip detector (16 channels) was mounted (Background of the right picture).

We used a Gold beam on a thick Pb target. The energies were 400 and 250 MeV/N. We measured the response of the ZDO at different PM high voltages (400 MeV/N), the time and amplitude resolution of two different scintillating foils (250 MeV/N) and the performance of silicon strip detectors (250 MeV/N).
