Analysis software:
During online analysis one has to cope with roughly 300 hodoscope detectors
which means 600 2d-spectra (64 Mb RAM => 256 kB = 64 kbins = 256*256 bins per
detector). One possible solution for online analysis
is a 2-fold software: High resolution at small detector subsystems for
adjustment, low resolution but all detectors for online control.
B.O. (Si-CJ) and S.F. (ZDO) should look what bining is needed to get p and
alpha resolution in deltaE-E-spectra. M.B. will then include these results in
the experiment control and online analysis software.
The DAQ is still not running because of problems with FASTBUS. Everytime a
special call is done in the program the FASTBUS processor stops.
Cooling TOF a.o.:
A list of cooling devices has to be made because we need one for the TOF and
three for the hodoscopes. Until now we have to big machines (Heidelberg cooling
device, old and big; LAUDA cooling device, 600W, brandnew). New cooling tubes
have to be ordered (will be done be B.O.). It is not clear wether the ZDO has to
be cooled.
Open discussion about the temperature measurement during the experiment. As a
functionality test of the TOF cooling one needs 48 sensors which could easily
read out by a PC card which will be ordered by C.G.. During experiment one needs
approximately 4 sensors for Catania, 3 for GSI and 5 for TOF.
Mounting:
The mounting of the ZDO had to be changed because of an overlap with the Catania
mounting. The new amplifier boxes from Milan are at GSI so that the Catania
mounting can be finished. The design of the Sistrip and telescope mounting is
finished and will be done by Wolfgang Quick.
