--------- Creation of a NDB file to be later used with DP2 --------- --------- (and use of DP2 on Linux) --------- ------ What ? CreateNDB Version 1.0 for Linux ------ Why ? With this package, you can create a NDB file from any (single) raw data file. This NDB will contain all the spectra CSIRxCSIL of a given Indra ring. ------ Where ? The package is located in : ~gourio/ndb/Version_1.0/ and simplier : ~gourio/V1/ ------ How ? To put in operation the dammed package : 1) Copy : setup_ndb and : run_ndb in your own directory 2) Execute : . setup_ndb 3) Edit : run_ndb and set it on your own, it's easy (I hope) 4) Run : run_ndb ------- The raw data ? The raw data file are for example to be read from tape with the commands : mkdir taebotuessae cd /tmp/taebotuessae adsmcli retrieve egsi_####.dat indra egsi #### is the so called "Unique Run Number", list and explanation are here : http://www-kp3.gsi.de/www/doc/indra/raw_data/mapping-run-atape-btape.html ( >>> Please copy the raw data and NDB files on /tmp/ <<< ) (Report for bugs : W.F.J.Mueller@gsi.de & D.Gourio@gsi.de, thanks.) ------ Use of DP2 ? To look at your NDB file, use the DP2 visualization : 1) Copy : /u/gourio/dp2/setup_dp2 in the directory of your choice 2) Execute : . setup_dp2 3) Run : dp2 4) Known bug : "Default de creation de palette" : restart your terminal with the default setup. Don't start Netscape or other programs which would change the color map.
